We were short a player tonight, which meant that I was throwing 3 rocks instead of 2. In addition to that, I was throwing second and held the broom when our skip threw. I usually play lead, so I am more accustomed to putting up guards, but today I had lots of opportunity to practice take outs. This evening, I made my first half rock double take-out, on purpose!
On another note, the Brier is now over. Alberta surprised us by not even making it into the play-off. I was very impressed with Team Gushue (Newfoundland) and was sad that they lost the bronze medal game. Northern Ontario managed to beat out Manitoba for the gold.
