It has been 9 days since my last update, and the Chianti Rose tomato plants are growing vigorously. I transplanted them from their peat pellets to 4-inch pots last Sunday. They remain under the fluorescent lights for 12 hours each day, and natural sunlight during the day. Check them out now!
On April 12, I decided that it was time to transplant my Shishito peppers into pots. The final 3 that had not germinated yet are finally here, but still too tiny to transplant. Great germination rate! All 14 seeds germinated!
I can’t say the same thing for the Trinidad peppers. They were late to germinate, and only 3 have been transplanted today. They are not big, but it looks like the true leaves that are growing in are light green. I’m not sure if this is the natural colouring, or if it just needs more nutrients, so I decided to put them in pots.
I seeded 8 originally. I have 3 in pots, and one more just recently germinated. I’m not sure if the other 4 will make it in time.
