It looks like I have my work cut out for me. Hubs (oops, I mean Santa) got me a Mio Fuse for Christmas. I’m not a runner, but this will come in handy when I am on my bike trainer. I’ve used it twice now, and I alternate between spinning as fast as I can to get my heart rate up, and riding in a harder gear to work my legs. I still have to learn how to use Mio on my own as both times, hubs set it up for me. After my workout yesterday, my legs are actually sore today. I think it’s more of a hip flexor issue. It’s not often that I hit 100 cadence, but that’s what it takes to get me to reach a heart rate of 146.
What I love about the Mio Fuse is that I do not need to wear a chest strap to monitor my heart rate. I also like that the device will tell me when I’m hitting the next level based on my heart rate. This is a great addition to my biking gear as it will help me get into better shape. I’m already itching to ride outdoors – springtime cannot come soon enough!
